FAQ
We ask that you do for two reasons; we want to be ready for you and we want to make sure that we are available for you. This is so that you and your girls will have the run of the entire loft while you're here and we are able to make sure we can give you our upmost attention as well as give you enough time. Feel free to pop in Wednesday – Sunday and we will do our best to accommodate you. If we are busy with another bride, there are many great shops and restaurants right nearby.
Most of our designers have a lead time of 4-5 months, so we always suggest that brides start dress shopping about 8-10 months before the wedding date. This will give you enough time to think about your options as well as leave time for alterations.
We love what we do so be prepared for a one-of-a kind private experience! You will be welcomed into our loft boutique where you and your guests can peruse the gowns at will. Generally, appointments run 1 1/2 hours which we find gives brides time to try on five to seven gowns and then revisit their favorites at the end. Your guests will have the easy job of relaxing in our chic lounge while your stylist helps you find your dream gown at Ivory Loft.
Honestly, less is more. We are an intimate boutique with limited seating and have found that the opinions of a trusted few always make for an easier decision for you. If you have a larger party, please be sure to let us know so that we can do our best to accommodate.
It is helpful to bring undergarments of similar styles that you will wear on your wedding day, including strapless bras and shaping garments. Also, bring a pair of shoes that will be similar in height to what you will wear on your wedding day.
Our gowns range from $1800 to $5000 with the average gowns priced at $2600.
Most of our gowns are sampled in a size 8 or 10. We have ways of fitting down or up, usually to a size 14. Many gowns can be ordered up to a size 22, however this is designer dependent.
When we place your order, we order the size that is closest to your measurements according to that particular designer’s sizing chart. Alterations are almost always needed to make sure that your dress fits you perfectly. We do partner with a couple great seamstresses for your total experience.
Trunk shows are opportunities for a designer to bring in more of a collection or special pieces that we don't carry in our shop. If you have your eye on a certain designer, a trunk show is an incredible time to exclusively focus on their dresses - sometimes we have special pricing offered for that weekend as well. These shows require registration and fill up fast, so please book your attendance early.
